Public Art Board
Dublin Arts Council is establishing the Dublin Public Art Board (PAB), an advisory committee that reviews and makes recommendations to Dublin Arts Council and City of Dublin staff for City Council review on public art matters, including public art projects, site selection, art collections and maintenance, among others. The board will comprise nine (9) members:

Two (2) members of DAC staff

Two (2) City of Dublin staff members

Five (5) members of the community
Community is defined as those who live, work, visit, play and learn in Dublin.
Dublin Arts Council and the City of Dublin are seeking five (5) community members to serve on the volunteer, uncompensated PAB for a term of two to four years. Applicants should have knowledge or interest in visual, performing arts, design and public art.
Members do not need to be Dublin residents but represent the parameters of the community defined above. The board will meet in person in Dublin, Ohio, quarterly to review public art projects and program proposals. Members must be at least 18 years of age.
In support of the Dublin Public Art Master Plan, approved in 2021, the values and goals for the Dublin Public Art Program are to:

Position Dublin as the premiere city for artists and public art;

Emphasize Dublin’s identity and enhance community pride, cultural and civic engagement;

Provide for strategic growth of community investment in City infrastructure;

Provide a framework for creativity and innovation in civic art, design and landscape;

Identify art sites throughout the visual landscape to leverage maximum impact;
-
Enhance public art’s role in parks and community development, and in cultural tourism, creative placemaking and quality of life;

Provide for public art in development projects by early planning for art; and
-
Support the Public Art effort through education, engagement and collection maintenance.
