Community Arts Grants

A successful grant application will demonstrate Dublin Arts Council’s three funding criteria: (1) Impact and Mission Alignment, (2) Connecting with the Community, and (3) Project Implementation. The Dublin Art Council review committee will evaluate each application, providing a score and comments based on this rubric: 

Review Criteria (100 points total)

Impact & Mission Alignment (30 pts)

• Alignment with Dublin Arts Council's Mission (10 pts): The project must align with Dublin Arts Council's mission of engaging the community, cultivating creativity, and fostering lifelong learning through the arts.

• High-Quality, Meaningful Project (10 pts): The project should be compelling, relevant, and provide a lasting impact for participants. It should be more than just entertainment—engage the community through creation, reflection, and artistic expression.

• Measuring Impact (10): The applicant provides a realistic evaluation plan with specific tools for measuring audience impact. The plan demonstrates clear mechanisms for using the data to inform future programming.

Connecting with the Community (40 pts)

• Community Engagement & Inclusion (20 pts): The project should actively engage a diverse range of Dublin residents and provide opportunities for meaningful participation. It should be designed with inclusivity in mind and provide access to all.

• Evaluation & Feedback (20 pts): Incorporate clear mechanisms for assessing the project’s impact, such as surveys, interviews, and follow-up. Use feedback to improve future programming and measure long-term community outcomes.

Project Implementation (30 pts) 

• Awareness (10 pts): Organization is employing various and thoughtful marketing methods to ensure the community is aware of the grant activities. 

• Financial Support (10 pts): Dublin Arts Council is not the sole funder of the proposed project. Grant outlines exactly how the Dublin Arts Council grant funding will be used to support the project.
