Community Arts Grants
Dublin Arts Council’s Community Arts Grants (CAG) program provides a continued commitment to support and invest in the arts in Dublin. By granting funds to nonprofit organizations and supporting arts projects with primary impact in Dublin, Ohio, Dublin Arts Council strives to ensure a healthy community in which a variety of art forms, organizations and artistic projects can flourish. Since 2014, Dublin Arts Council has invested over $250,000 in more than 60 arts projects, championing dozens of organizations and hundreds of artists and audiences.
ELIGIBILITY
In order to be eligible to apply,

Organizations must be exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and registered with the State of Ohio as a non-profit organization.

Proposed project(s) must have a primary impact in Dublin, Ohio.

Project(s) must contribute to Dublin Arts Council’s mission of engaging the community, cultivating creativity and fostering life-long learning through the arts.

PROCESS
For organizations considering applications for 2025 projects, application materials for the 2025 grant cycle appear below. The application deadline for 2025 Community Arts Grants is Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 by 5 p.m.
For those organizations that received funding for 2024 projects, the final report deadline is Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 by 5 p.m. The final report form with instructions can be found below.

2024 Awardees:
In 2024, Dublin Arts Council awarded a total of $42,500 to nine arts organizations offering arts projects with primary impact in Dublin. DAC is proud to partner with these awardees on the following programming:
A grant of $2,500 was awarded to the Columbus Music & Art Academy to assist their children’s choir performance and art exhibition to take place on May 19, 2024 at the Dublin Community Church. For more details, please visit https://www.cmaacademy.org/
Dublin Arts Council awarded $2,500 to the Columbus Modern (CoMo) Dance Company to support a “Season Finale” performance at Dublin’s Abbey Theater on February 18, 2024, as well as CoMo’s 2024 Season. Since 2012, CoMo continues to strive to develop a dance community that is entertaining, inclusive and fulfilling for dancers, students and audiences. A grant of $5,000 was awarded to Dublin Area Art League (DAAL) for emerging artist scholarships for area high school seniors who plan to continue their education in an arts related field. DAAL supports and encourages its artist members through interaction with fellow artists; education through workshops, demonstrations, and lectures; and opportunities for local artwork exhibition in Dublin and the surrounding community. Dublin Community Bands was awarded $6,000 to present the Dublin Festival of Brass and 2024 season programming. The grant will support performing arts experiences for local students at no cost, and will encourage community growth and participation within the Dublin Festival of Brass. A grant of $2,000 was awarded to The Dublin Singers to support a music scholarship program for area high school seniors, provide rehearsal space and and artist support for choral music rehearsals and annual performances. The Dublin Singers, a 26-year-old community choir, provides members of all ages the opportunity to learn, sign and perform musical offerings throughout the community. or additional information, visit https://www.dublinsingers.org/
Dublin Taiko Boosters were offered an award of $6,000 in celebration of the group’s 20th anniversary. The award will support the group’s special concert series to be hosted at Jerome High School on October 13, 2024, featuring international Taiko artist Eitetus Hayashi and members of his ensemble. Evolution Theatre Company received a grant of $8,000 to support their 2024 season of productions to be presented at The Abbey Theater of Dublin. Evolution Theatre Company is central Ohio’s only professional LGBTQQIA theatre company, providing a supportive, encouraging environment for celebrating the artistic vision of LGBTQ+ individuals, advancing the understanding of gender issues and fostering the expression of creative performance arts by and about the LGBTQ+ community. The Japan America Society of Central Ohio (JASCO), headquartered in Dublin, is the premiere organization for deepening understanding of and appreciation for Ohio’s Japanese and American cultures. This organization was awarded a $5,500 grant to present the JASCO Summer Japanese Festival, hosted at Dublin’s Riverside Crossing Park on August 24, 2024. Spotlight Columbus Inc. was awarded $5,000 to support their 2024 South Asian Theater Festival, now in its 10th year of production.
