Three years ago, the Dublin Arts Council Kiln Room initiative began with one vision: to create a welcoming studio where both artists and the curious could explore the world of clay. Now, 15 member artists, all coming from diverse backgrounds and experiences, call this studio their second home where they create and connect. Thrown Together: A Community in Clay embodies each artists’ story, whether they’ve been creating art for decades or just a few years. This exhibition celebrates the community and close-knit relationships fostered through a shared love of ceramics.

“I appreciate the Dublin Arts Council for making space for local art to be created right here in Dublin and for fostering a studio community where artists inspire one another”
Mike McNeil

“Kiln Room has given me the chance to explore new skills while being surrounded by an encouraging and supportive group of artists.”
