The 35th annual Dublin Arts Council Sundays at Scioto summer concert series continues with HooDoo Soul Band on July 8, 2018. Doing justice to a song made famous by Al Green or the vocals of Earth, Wind and Fire is a daunting task, but the Hoodoo Soul Band manages to perform such classics with grace and plenty of joyful energy. Whether the ensemble plays old R&B or some Latin rhythm, this is one of a handful of Columbus bands that manages to merge outstanding musicianship with all-out fun entertainment. Primarily a cover band, Hoo Doo is known for putting their own twist on the standards while introducing audiences to less-familiar funky gems.

Concerts take place on consecutive Sunday evenings through July 29 at the Scioto Park Amphitheater, 7377 Riverside Drive, in Dublin. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at approximately 8:30 p.m. Dinner and dessert will be provided by Paddy Wagon and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.
