Opening Doors: A Nepali Cultural Celebration

Dublin Arts Council will present a Nepali cultural celebration in conjunction with the Opening Doors: Calling Central Ohio Home exhibition on Tuesday, April 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Dublin Arts Center, 7125 Riverside Drive, in Dublin. Featured performers will include Nepali singer Arjun Rasaily and Nepali Cultural Dance Group.
The Nepali Cultural Dance Group will perform traditional Nepali dances at the event. The group believes in teaching traditional dances to young people, stating that “in order to build a life in America, we must know our past.”
 
Opening Doors: Calling Central Ohio Home is a group exhibition by New Americans who delve into concepts of identity through their artwork. The exhibition, which is curated by Columbus visual ethnographer Tariq Tarey, is on view in the Dublin Arts Council (DAC) gallery, 7125 Riverside Dr., in Dublin from March 5 through June 7, 2019.
Regular gallery hours are Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Details can be found at www.dublinarts.org or by calling 614.889.7444. The exhibition and performances are free of charge and open to the public.
