Photographer Hillary Perhot’s practice transforms based on sense, nonsense and serious play. In a time of massive image circulation, high-resolution 4k pictures and full-frame digital sensor cameras of ever-increasing mega-pixels, Perhot focuses her attention toward tactile, analog methods of photography. Perhot records her experiences through lens-less, handmade cameras through which light directly touches the unique paper negative. Perhot holds a Master of Fine Art degree in photography from The Ohio State University and is a current faculty member at North Central State College in Mansfield, Ohio.

The exhibition will be on view in the Dublin Arts Council (DAC) gallery, 7125 Riverside Dr., in Dublin from June 19 through July 27, 2018.  The exhibition opens with a public reception for the artist on Tuesday, June 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. The opening reception and the exhibition are free of charge.

Gallery hours are Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Catering for the opening reception will be provided by The Food Smiths.
