Join Dublin Arts Council and City of Dublin for a conversation about Dublin’s Art in Public Places program on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Dublin City Council Chamber, 5555 Perimeter Dr., in Dublin.
The primary objective of the forum is to listen and review the process for adding to Dublin’s large-scale permanent public art collection. Dublin Arts Council and the City recognize that community engagement is vital to the public art process and invite all those who live, work, visit, play and learn in Dublin.
The forum format includes a brief presentation about Dublin’s public art process, followed by hosted tables based on the following four topics:
- Communication about public art
- Parks & site selection process for public art
- Site for the next public artwork in Dublin’s M.L. “Red” Trabue Nature Reserve
- Artist Ilan Averbuch’s concept for The Boat in the Field public artwork
Participants will rotate through the conversation tables to maximize discussion opportunities.
It is not necessary to pre-register.
