Call for Entries – Emerging 2024 Student Art Exhibition

Emerging is an annual exhibition at Dublin Arts Council (DAC) celebrating the next generation of artists. Entries are now open for Emerging 2024 and will close on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 5 p.m.

Emerging 2024 will be on display from January 13-February 29, 2024. Opening reception will take place on Saturday, January 13, 11am-2pm.

Students in grades K-12 and those enrolled in the PATHS program are eligible to submit. Students must attend a Dublin City School or have participated in a DAC program, such as the Riverbox Collection, art workshops, or past Emerging exhibitions. There are two steps to submit artwork for Emerging:

  1. 1. Submit this online application form.
  2. 2. Drop off your artwork and pay the entry fee of $5 per artwork in-person at Dublin Arts Council, 7125 Riverside Drive, Dublin, OH 43016.

DAC hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5pm and every second Saturday of the month, 11am-2pm. Here are dates to keep in mind during the submission and art drop-off period:

  • Friday, November 10: DAC Closed 
  • Saturday, November 11: DAC’s open Saturday hours, 11am-2pm
  • Wednesday-Friday, November 24: DAC Closed
  • Saturday, December 9: DAC’s open Saturday hours, 11am-2pm

Up to two artworks in any medium may be submitted per student. At least one artwork submitted per student will be accepted and shown in the exhibition. There is an entry fee of $5 per artwork. Submissions close on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 5pm.

Two-dimensional artworks, such as paintings and drawings, must be ready to hang (hardware attached to the back).

Cash prizes will be awarded to Best in Show in each age category, as selected by the DAC curator of the exhibition. High schoolers also have the chance to win Best Technical Skill and Best Use of Medium.
