6-ft. gallery: Irish Showcase

The 6-ft. gallery project is a collaboration between Dublin Arts Council and Visit Dublin Ohio, designed to showcase Dublin’s resident artists while providing physical distancing guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Four local artist members of Dublin Area Art League are engaged in the temporary public art project, which will be on view during March of 2021 throughout downtown Dublin to encourage physical distancing during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. JUDITH COGGIN
Judith Coggin has been a photographer for more than 35 years, creating digital photo artwork since 2000. Her process involves applying painterly effects to original photographs; for this project, photographs from a 2019 visit to Ireland with her husband. Artistic mediums for both her own and commissioned artwork have included fired glass, photography, painting and digital art. Judith earned advanced degrees in History from The Ohio State University and is retired from executive leadership in nonprofit social service and education. CAROL COSGROVE
Carol Cosgrove is a retired art and special education teacher. Originally from Philadelphia, she attended Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio and has lived in central Ohio for more than 40 years. Carol is a landscape painter and paints with oils. She is also a member and former trustee of the Ohio Plein Air Society. Carol is currently conquering her Parkinson’s diagnosis with a positive attitude by continuing to create miniature paintings. She has one adult son who presently lives in North Carolina. Carol loves nature, hiking, kayaking and traveling. Visit the artist’s website at https://www.carolcosgroveart.com/.

BEV GOLDIE
Dublin, Ohio artist Bev Goldie received a fine arts degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio with a concentration in oil painting and printmaking. Advanced studies include various media, pastel portraiture, watercolors and oils. She says that art keeps her tranquil and alive inside. Goldie also operates a home décor business, has self-published a book and teaches.  She mats and frames all of her own art and offers original and commissioned artwork, printing of cards, prints, posters and books, as well as canvas reproductions and hand-enhanced photos. JOE LAMBERT
Joe Lambert in an Ohio State University BFA graduate who worked for the university in the information technology group until his retirement in 2009 after 34 years of service. Lambert works in oil and acrylic, painting primarily landscapes, seascapes and wildlife. He is also a musician, founding a nonprofit musical ministry with his wife, Joanne Blum. With a focus on the healing power of music, they often perform for residents of senior living facilities.
