____________

River Garden Riverbox is located in:

Amberleigh Park
8100 Carrigan Ridge Court
Dublin, Ohio

For a map of DAC Riverbox locations, please click here.

Amberleigh Park is located off of Dublin Road, north of Emerald Parkway.  As you travel north on Dublin Road, turn right on Amberleigh Way.  Immediately turn right on Carrigan Ridge Drive.  Follow the street until it ends at the court.  There is limited parking available.  Dublin parks are open from dawn to dusk. When visiting, please observe the City of Dublin’s Parks Courtesy and Rules, http://www.dublin.oh.us/recreation/parks/rules.php.

The section of the Scioto River found at Amberleigh Park boasts a rich, yet hidden life.  A Riffle Zone, found at the bottom of the stairs at Amberleigh Park, is an area in a waterway where water flows over rocks creating turbulence in the water.  This bubbling allows more oxygen to be absorbed into the water and many aquatic invertebrates thrive here, attracting fish and fishermen.  This area of the river is teeming with life that is not noticeably visible to the casual visitor.

  • Follow the path through the manicured park area.
  • Continue across the bridges … down, down, down the stairs toward the river.
  • At the very base of the stairs, look for three copper gardens nestled around a hollow tree trunk.
  • The journal and stamp are ‘planted’ inside the northernmost garden (but please explore them all)!
