to Dublin Arts Center In 1946, Eleanor and Andre Gelpi purchased the home, where Eleanor Gelpi lived until her death in 1985. Ms. Gelpi was a pioneering and successful businesswoman, and a committed champion of the arts in Columbus. She often used her home as the site for fundraisers and other arts benefits. Ms. Gelpi was founding member of the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the Committee to Save the Ohio Theater, as well as a trustee of the Ohio Arts Council, Ballet Met, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and CAPA, among other organizations. After Ms. Gelpis death in 1985, the house continued to serve as a private residence until 1999. The City of Dublin purchased the estate with the intention of turning the site into a cultural arts center. Dublin Arts Council contracted to lease the house and surrounding grounds and created the Dublin Arts Center, which opened to the public on March 17, 2002. Special Event Rentals
